Mickey Mouse Party Feature

Today, we are sharing a submission from Rosanna, who recently celebrated her precious daughter’s 2nd Birthday.  Little Rebeca is crazy about Mickey, so red, yellow, black and lots of polka dots were an important part of the adorable decor.
4We loved the Mickey Mouse Cake; it is so fun and cute!  We also liked Rosanna’s DIY Happy Birthday sign as the focal point of the table.

3Our French Square Milk Bottles were turned into adorable party favors!

1Our red and black Cupcake Wrappers completed the party theme.

9These super cute Mickey arrangements were created by using our red and black polka dot Bowls!

A Fabulous Oscars Inspired Party

Are you excited about the Oscars?  If there is an award show that I do not miss every year, it has to be the Oscars.  I don’t know if it’s the glitz and glamour or the movies, but it is the perfect excuse to put on a fabulous dress and throw a Red Carpet Hollywood Party.  The dynamic sister duo, Annie and Maria, behind Posh Studio outdid themselves by creating a stylish Oscars atmosphere for one of their clients.

IMG_2942newAnnie and Maria thought of every detail.  From the shimmering backdrop to the Oscar Statue Party favors to the delicious desserts.  The use of violet lighting gave the dessert table a magical Hollywood touch.

IMG_2933newThe Star Chocolate Lollipops were simply perfection.  The lemon vanilla cupcakes were decorated by Annie with retro star fondant toppers.

IMG_2932newThese Oscars gold short bread cookies sure made the cut!

IMG_2931newI particularly love how they displayed the awards in a red carpet.  Each guest went home with a bag full of goodies and an Oscar Statue.    Each statue had a special award:  The Funniest, The Wiser, The Friendliest, among others.  How clever!

IMG_2929 (1)newAnnie and Maria run a thriving event planning business, aka Posh Studio, in Barranquilla-Colombia that caters to any type of special event from birthday parties, baptisms, teenage parties to weddings.  Stay tuned for more Party ideas from the fabulous Posh Studio.

A Mysterious Halloween Party

We created a Halloween Party that could be enjoyed by all guests, ages 0 to 100. While sophisticated and dramatic for the adults, it was intriguing for the little ones.   Our unconventional Halloween color palette was composed of black, pinkish wine, silver and white. This color palette added mystery and drama to the decor.

Crows were the focal point because of their mystifying demeanor and elegant glossy black feathers.  The crow theme was carried through the whole dessert table:  in the spectacular table runner, in the bunting and in the desserts which were decorated with fondant black birds.  Even the branches at the center of the table had black feathers.

To create a sumptuous atmosphere, two ornamental black chandeliers were hanged.  They were paired with two black candelabras on the table.

White chocolate cake balls adorned our pinkish wine Petite Blossom cups – gorgeous mini dessert flower cups made of fabric.  Petit fours were dressed with black and white damask Petite Cups and vanilla beam cupcakes were embellished with damask Cupcake Wrappers.

Kokeshi Doll Party

My fabulous friend Albertina of Mimosa Lane recently celebrated her sweet daughter’s 6th birthday.  I was very intrigued by the unique theme of the party: Kokeshi Dolls, Japanese friendship dolls. Only a creative mind like Albertina’s would come up with such a charming yet creative theme!

lanterns-flower-cups3I was thrilled with the DIY Flower lanterns she created for the occasion.  She combined our Paper Lanterns with our Belle Petite Blossom Cups.   They turned out so stylish!
DSC_0100The Kokeshi Pinata is beyond adorable!  The level of details is outstanding!  what a fun surprise for the little guests.

The beautiful Birthday Girl

The ambiance of the party was so colorful and festive.  Albertina  added so many special touches ranging from the pretty Japanese chop sticks, to the DIY table cloth and napkins, to the darling  flower lanterns.   The delicious meringue – dulce de leche cake featured a darling Kokeshi Doll.  The little guests went home with their own wooden Japanese dolls.  For more party inspiration, DIY ideas and party pics stop by Mimosa Lane.

Back to School!

A great way to mark the end of summer and welcome a the new school season is to throw a Back to school Party, and a must have element for your dessert table is an Apple arrangement.

Apple DIY, Truck and Candy tubes 007blogI made the cutest Apple Cake Balls following the instructions at the Fabulous Bakerella, here.  Instead of Cake Pops I wanted Cake Balls so, I simply carefully removed the lollipop sticks from the apples.  To make the arrangement I use a wooden Berry basket and displayed my Apple Cake Balls on our green Petite Blossom Cups.

DIY: Gold Safari Animals

A simple DIY can create a high impact on a dessert table.  When creating a mood board for our Wild Safari Party, here, I felt like I wanted to add a touch of sophistication to the sweet table.  Luckily for me, I came across this super cute DIY from Albertina of Mimosa Lane that inspired me to make my jungle animals more stylish.

Safari Party

You will need:  Plastic Jungle Animals (I bought mine at Walmart for 1$ each), Spray Primer and Metallic Gold Spray.

Step 1:  Spray the Plastic animals with the Primer.  Let it dry (1 Minute).

Step 2:  Spray paint the animals with Gold Spray Paint.  I particularly love the brand Rust-Oleum because it  provides a very even paint coverage.

And there you go!  So easy, yet very stylish!
