Kokeshi Doll Party

My fabulous friend Albertina of Mimosa Lane recently celebrated her sweet daughter’s 6th birthday.  I was very intrigued by the unique theme of the party: Kokeshi Dolls, Japanese friendship dolls. Only a creative mind like Albertina’s would come up with such a charming yet creative theme!

DSC_0100The Kokeshi Pinata is beyond adorable!  The level of details is outstanding!  what a fun surprise for the little guests.

The beautiful Birthday Girl

The ambiance of the party was so colorful and festive.  Albertina  added so many special touches ranging from the pretty Japanese chop sticks, to the DIY table cloth and napkins, to the darling  flower lanterns.   The delicious meringue – dulce de leche cake featured a darling Kokeshi Doll.  The little guests went home with their own wooden Japanese dolls.  For more party inspiration, DIY ideas and party pics stop by Mimosa Lane.
