When Fiesta meets Halloween: It’s a Day of the Dead Party!!!
We are swooning over our new Halloween Day of the Dead Party Theme!!! It has all the fun elements of a successful Halloween Party: spooky sugar skulls, colorful yet mysterious decor, delicious treats, fun makeup, flowers…yes flowers…what else can you ask for? I also love that Dia de los Muertos celebrates the memories of our loved ones who have passed away. It is such a meaningful and beautiful Mexican Tradition.
Setting the table was a breeze with our new Line of “Dia de los Muertos” Party supplies which includes these gorgeous Sugar Skull plates. We paired these with our Scalloped Fuchsia Plates and large Gold Plates. Another fun addition to our Day of the Dead Party collection is our Sugar Skull Cups and our Dia de los Muertos Cupcake Toppers and Napkins. The Girls wore our gorgeous Flower Headbands and had such much fun transforming themselves into Sugar Skulls. We followed this tutorial for Sugar Skull Makeup, which was very helpful. The girls ended up creating their own designs and choosing their colors. They wore traditional mexican dresses which is just perfect for the occasion. Don’t they look adorable?
A Day of the Dead Party needs to have flowers! We combined fresh cut flowers with Paper Flowers in the decor. We created a Backdrop with our Tissue Flowers and Tissue Pom Poms. We also added ribbon and our Tissue Festooning for a festive fiesta touch!
We decorated the table with cactuses, traditional religious candles, Fresh flowers and a woven serape table runner. We also served traditional Mexican Treats that can be found in supermarkets or Mexican shops.
All of our Day of the Dead Party Supplies and Decorations are available at the Via Blossom Shop, here.
