Party Details by Maggie:

My daughter’s, Gaby, number one wish for her 9th birthday was to have a sophisticated afternoon tea with her friends.  I was ecstatic when she told me that she wanted a Tea Party Themed birthday.   I must say, that a scrumptious Tea Party was at the top of my wish list growing up.  So, what a blessing to be able to make my girl’s wish come true.

My mother’s tropical backyard was the perfect setting for the occasion.  Flowers were an integral part of the décor.  I combined different flower patterns in the Cupcake Stands, cupcake wrappers, table runner and Tea Party Banner to create a vintage feel.  Gaby’s gorgeous turquoise bedroom chest became the dessert table which displayed a “croquembouche” (or tower of cream puffs held together with caramel) and mini-desserts like brownie pops, sugar cookies in delicate paper flowers called Petite Blossom Cups, French macaroons and of course homemade tea.  The little guests wore pretty hats and sat in a long table decorated with teacups and cupcake stands showcasing delicious Cupcakes.   All in all, Gaby had a lovely afternoon of fun and sophistication with her friends.
